Five things I Understand
1. Alice was thinking that she should turn in Bella into a vampire.
2. Stole a car in Italy to get to where Edward was.
3. Edward was thinking about making the Volturi kill him.
4. Met Marcus, Caius and Aro who were in a painting that Carlisle owned.
5. The Volturi let Alice and Edward go but only if they turned Bella into a vampire.
Four Questions I have
1. Are they going to make it in time?
2. How come the Cullens don’t hunt on their grounds?
3. What’s’ going to happen to Alice?
4. How did the vampires come up with the name "singer’?
Three Vocabularies
1. Scourge pg 437: bane
2. Faust pg 438: A magician and alchemist in German legend who sells his soul to the devil in exchange for power and knowledge
3. Undulated pg 453: To cause to move in a smooth wavelike motion
Two Literally Elements
1. "Sun continued to climb in the sky while Alice raced against it" pg 442. This is partly personification because the sun does not climb in the sky.
2. Irony; "Saint Marcus day" p440, when a man drove all the vampires away from the city. On the same day Edward was planning on exposing himself.
One sentence Summary
1. Edward was lucky that Bella made it in time to save him.
